Certified Veterinary Technicians/Nurses
Our certified technicians share extensive training and experience in specialized surgical nursing, and in advanced anesthesia and pain management. They receive continuing education to maintain our services at the highest level, and are involved with all aspects of your pet's care from the initial consultation, to recovery and post-operative follow-up.
VSO is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Consultation and surgery are by appointment only. Please call to schedule, or e-mail us with scheduling questions. Our post-operative patients are discharged with complete care instructions and access to our after-hours nursing support/advice team.
In July 2013, VSO moved into our temporary facilities at Oregon Veterinary Specialty Hospital, 9339 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy, Beaverton, OR 97005. We are in the process of renovating our permanent new hospital on SE Main Street in Milwaukie. Following renovation of this new building, we will be uniting with Dr Kim Freeman and the Veterinary Cancer Referral Center in the very near future, and will continue to offer the highest level of oncologic, orthopedic and soft tissue surgical care. The new combined practice, to be called Veterinary Cancer and Surgery Specialists, will be opening in early 2014.
